Set list for John Tamilio III Live at Hawthorne Hotel Friday August 12, 2022
JT3 Live at Nathaniel’s at the Hawthorne Hotel
Salem, Massachusetts
My August 12, 2022 show at the Hawthorne will be a show I will remember forever. I did not play as many originals as I usually do, because it was a full house with people dancing to songs they knew well and wanted to sing-along to. (My cousin Sue Grenier helped fill the place with other family members and friends.) The 3D song “Everything But Peace” was a hit with the audience. It was a complete joy to have my son (John “Jay” Tamilio IV) play ukulele and sing on four songs, taking the lead on the Buddy Holly classic “Oh Boy” and sharing vocals with me on The Band’s “The Weight.,” which has become a staple in my set. Nathaniel’s at The Hawthorne is always an amazing place to play: the food is incredible, the libations are sumptuous, the staff is congenial, and the atmosphere is warm, friendly, and inviting.
